Honeypie Cafe is closing temporarily after a part-time employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The restaurant posted on Facebook that it believes the employee was exposed to the coronavirus outside of work. The restaurant and Palomino Bar will close to allow for testing of employees. The restaurant and bar will reopen when enough employees test negative.
"We wear masks. We wash our hands. We sanitize constantly. We practice social distancing. We do not work when we feel sick. We adhere to all city, state, and national food safety guidelines. We have also been transparent. Which is what we will continue to be," wrote the restaurant.
SmallPie, the restaurant's bakeshop, will remain open.
