A gas leak on Milwaukee’s south side is forcing residents nearby to leave their homes Wednesday evening.
We Energies confirmed a construction crew hit an underground gas line causing the leak near 15th Place and Grant Street in the Lincoln Village neighborhood.
Homes near the leak have been evacuated as a precaution.
We Energies crews are on scene trying to repair the leak.
