The pieces of history up for sale are a set of original Riverside Theater chairs.

For $400, buyers will receive:
  • Two original 1927 theater chairs
  • Built on sturdy 2’ x 4’ wooden base wrapped in Riverside carpet
  • Original 1927 ornate cast iron end caps

Only 60 sets of chairs are available for sale.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Center, an animal rescue organization for animals in Milwaukee County.

The theater chairs went up for auction on Ebay originally. However, the auction site crash due to high demand and the Riverside Theater decided to just sell the set for $400 instead.

The Riverside Theater says the auction raised more than $10,000 in less than 12 hours of operation.
