MILWAUKEE — With a heat advisory in place Saturday, some people in and around Milwaukee may be looking for a place to cool down and get out of the sun.
The advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Saturday and the heat index could bring temperatures between 100 and 105 degrees. Plus with some humidity, it's not a good day to spend a lot of time outside.
However, some people shouldn't be inside either if they don't have air conditioning. Thankfully, there's a cooling center open in Milwaukee that offers water and cooler temperatures which will help prevent heatstroke and other heat-related injuries.
The site is located at Hillside Terrace Family Resource Center, 1452 N. 7th St. They will be open at 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
