MILWAUKEE — Shopping local is even more important this holiday season due to the coronavirus pandemic, so VISIT Milwaukee has put together a list of local stores that you can support this season.

The list is a part of Visit Milwaukee's Season of Giving Campaign, which is working to help local businesses that are struggling due to the pandemic.

“There has never been a more important time to shop local when you’re planning for the holidays; in fact, I think it’s our civic duty,” says VISIT Milwaukee President & CEO Peggy Williams-Smith.

VISIT Milwaukee's list of local stores that offer online shopping is organized by categories, with stores for him, her, the kids, and everyone. Click here to see the list.

As a part of the campaign, they have also compiled a list of restaurants that are offering Thanksgiving meals. So, if you don't want to do the cooking but still want a traditional Thanksgiving meal, check out the list here.

Also for the holiday season, many hotels are offering packages for unique and fun stay-cations. So, if you're looking to get out of your house but don't feel safe traveling, this might be the perfect option for you! Click here to check out some of the packages.

VISIT Milwaukee has also made a list of restaurants and bars that are still offering outdoor seating, even with the cold weather. They are bringing in things like heaters and domes to keep guests warm but also safe from COVID-19. To see that list, click here.

Finally, there are many festive events happening in and around Milwaukee. These events will get you into the holiday spirit all while practicing safety protocols. From in-person events to virtual events, VISIT Milwaukee has it all here.
