MILWAUKEE -- Millions in advertisement dollars have been spent on both sides for Wisconsin's governor.

It is now a race to the finish line to get swing voters out. The latest Marquette University Law School Poll shows how close the stakes are for governor. Incumbent Scott Walker and Democrat Tony Evers are in a dead heat at 47-percent each.

According to the Associated Press, spending ramped up in the last two months leading up to November 6. The Republican Governors Association reserved $5.7 million in television advertisements while the Democratic Governors Association booked another $3.8 million.

We showed some political advertisements on both sides to public relations executive Andy Larsen with Boelter + Lincoln. He explained in the PR world, if it gets someone talking, it's good.

The question remains, will it work?

"If they weren't demonstrably successful they wouldn't be on," said Larsen.

Larsen also points out there is more online political advertisement spending than ever before. He points out the inventory is unlimited unlike the fixed amount of television time available.
