City of Milwaukee Commissioner of Health Dr. Jeanette Kowalik is expressing concern over crowding at the lakefront following a fight Tuesday night.

Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the lakefront near Bradford Beach for reports of a fight about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The sheriff's office says once they arrived on the scene they observed crowds fighting. The fight was soon broken up and the crowds dispersed without any issue.

Crowds have been gathering at Bradford Beach and the lakefront during the last couple days of nice weather. Dr. Jeanette Kowalik says the large crowds are worrisome.

"I understand humans are conditioned, right? We have behaviors that are just auto pilot," said Kowalik. "It's nice outside, let's go to the beach, but we have to work on re-programming or educating people on how to do it in a safe way."

Kowalik says there will be a media briefing Friday to announce the status of where the city is at with the stay-at-home order.
