Residents near 22nd and Hampton Avenue awoke to a Milwaukee police investigation after they say someone sprayed the neighborhood with bullets Tuesday night.
Jermal Bracy said he was sleeping when at least 60 rounds of bullets outside his window startled him.
"The thing that really caught my attention was the fact that I heard an assault rifle," Bracy said.
Bracy said that he usually hears gunfire in this neighborhood, but Tuesday night's was different.
Milwaukee police placed nearly 100 yellow evidence markers on the street while investigating the incident.
Police told TMJ4 that they believe no one was injured in the gunfire.
Milwaukee police are still investigating the scene.
