We've known for a long time that the Tony Award-winning play 'Hamilton' would be coming to Milwaukee, but now we know when.
The critically-acclaimed musical will be performed at the Marcus Center Oct. 22-Nov. 17.
The musical depicts the life of Alexander Hamilton and his rise to become the first U.S. treasury secretary before being killed in a duel.
The play was written by Lin Manuel-Miranda who also played the titular character in the Broadway production. 'Hamilton' has won 11 Tonys.
'Hamilton' joins other award-winning plays for the Marcus Center's Broadway season including 'Miss Saigon' and 'The Lion King.'
