A Milwaukee high school coach has been placed on unpaid leave after the district learned of a Milwaukee Police investigation involving the employee.

TODAY’S TMJ4 sources say the coach is accused of sharing inappropriate material, sexual in nature, with students in a private Facebook group.

Milwaukee police say a man was arrested and investigators are recommending charges of “exposing a child to harmful material or harmful descriptions or narrations.”

Officers were at Hamilton High School Wednesday continuing their investigation into the matter according to a police spokesperson.

Milwaukee Public Schools released this statement today:

“MPS is cooperating with the Milwaukee Police Department regarding an allegation involving a part-time coach at Hamilton High School and they have been placed on unpaid leave pending a final resolution to the matter. Because there are ongoing investigations by MPD and MPS, we cannot comment further.”

Prosecutors have 72 hours to file formal charges against the suspect. District officials said at this point they know of no students that face criminal charges as part of the investigation.
