GREENFIELD -- A Greenfield man was arrested Saturday night after an argument with one of his neighbors.

Police were called at approximately 10 p.m. to 84th Street and Howard Avenue for a report of a person who fired a gun.

The caller, who was a juvenile, told police a neighbor came onto his balcony and fired a gun in his direction.

Officers located the man in a neighboring apartment building. He first told officers he shot a firework off in the juvenile's direction. Later, police said he admitted that he fired his .40 caliber pistol out of anger.

The 45-year-old man told officers he was upset as his neighbor was continually shooting off fireworks.

He was arrested for Recklessly Endangering Safety and taken to the Criminal Justice Facility.

The case has been referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charging.
