Gov. Scott Walker joined conservatives around the country in criticizing ABC for "playing politics" with the cancellation of  the Tim Allen sitcom 'Last Man Standing.'

The show was on-air for six seasons, and posted respectable ratings, particularly for its Friday night timeslot, industry publication TV By The Numbers reports.

Allen's character on the show, Mike Baxter, was a conservative Christian who promoted traditional values -- exactly why some are saying the show was targeted.

Allen himself has spoken out in support of President Trump, and said in the past that being a conservative in Hollywood is similar to living in Nazi Germany.

"You gotta be real careful around here, you know. You'll get beat up if you don't believe what everybody believes," Allen told Jimmy Kimmel earlier this year.

Several petitions are circling the Internet in an attempt to bring back the show.
