MILWAUKEE -- Public outcries on Facebook, over the lengths a dog was neglected.

A poodle was found this weekend in a grassy area of Milwaukee Saturday, unable to move.
A Good Samaritan took it to the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission. They worked to get the dog better.

In the 20 minutes it was there alive, it was given the love it deserves. Sadly, it did not survive.

Leaders with MADACC are sharing this story, because it keeps happening all too often.
"They're embarrassed when the conditions worsen to even ask for help at that point we see literally on a daily basis sick and injured animals coming in here as strays," said Karen Sparapani, Executive Director of MADACC.

If you or someone you know needs assistance with caring for an animal, please call MADACC at (414) 649-8640.
