MADISON -- Madison police say a 2-year-old girl has died after she was critically injured in an apartment.
According to an update Saturday on the Madison Police Department's website, the girl died at a hospital. Her name has not been released.
The girl was taken to a hospital after police and emergency medical technicians from the Madison Fire Department were called Tuesday afternoon to a north side apartment.
A police spokesman says police and fire crews were dispatched to an emergency medical call. The girl had been listed in critical condition.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports police are still investigating.
