MILWAUKEE -- You don't have much of an excuse not to get your art fix this New Year's Day, as the Milwaukee Art Museum is offering both free admission and later hours.
The promotion is made possible thanks to Meijer Free First Fridays. Museum hours will be extended until 8:00 p.m.
You can even get into feature exhibitions "Larry Sultan: Here and Home" and "Sam Francis: Master Printmaker" for no additional charge.
The museum is hoping to draw new visitors in the new year as it celebrates a brand-new $34 million renovation that was recently featured in the New York Times.
Nearly 20,000 visitors have taken advantage of free museum admission since Meijer began its partnership in July.
