MILWAUKEE — Certain Department of Public Works services will have limited hours, and some parking restrictions will be lifted Tuesday and Wednesday for the new year holiday, according to a DPW press release.
Garbage and recycling will be collected Tuesday, but there will not be collection New Year's Day. Drop-off centers will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be closed New Year's Day.
There won't be parking meter or hourly enforcement on New Year's Day. There also will not be overnight parking enforcement on Tuesday or Wednesday night.
The city tow lot will be open until noon Tuesday and will be closed New Year's Day.
The Hop's hours will be extended New Year's Eve until 2 a.m. However, Hop operations will be shortened New Year's Day and will run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Additionally, City of Milwaukee government offices will be closed both Tuesday and Wednesday.
