The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public safety alert for about 43 pounds of not-ready-to-eat (NRTE), heat-treated, not fully cooked chicken enchilada products.
The recall is due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. According to FSIS, the product contains soy sauce and the branding does not declare soy as a known allergen.
The 'Hy-Vee Chicken Enchiladas' meals were produced on Jan. 3, 2021, with lot code “21003” and has a “Best If Use By: 01/10/2021” date on the product label.
The products also have the establishment number of “P51558” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The Hy-Vee products were distributed in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
