Racine dealt with wet, rainy weather earlier Wednesday and as the sun set and temperatures dropped, it all turned to ice.
It's made everything hazardous from the roads to the walkways.
"It's like ice skating out here," said Mark Tumidajewicz as he walked to a restaurant downtown.
Kerry Peterson drove just a few block rights and said it didn't go well.
"It's slipping over stop signs you come to. You come past the intersection when you are stopping," said Peterson.
But he and others agree even though the roads are bad, the sidewalks are worse.
"It's pretty terrible out there," said Tumidajewicz.
It wasn't hard to find people who were losing their balance.
"You can't step no where without falling. Matter fact I already fell leaving from work," said Jeffery Blake who slipped crossing the street.
Patrick Souter could not have picked a worse day to try going outside on crutches for the first time.
"It's pretty rough," said Souter as he slipped around on the street.
But he said he had a good reason.
"I was just really hungry," said Souter.
He thinks getting dinner out was worth it.
But everyone has the same advice tonight.
"You have to go really slow," said Souter.
