Franklin police looking for 2 men who tried to lure 7-year-old into their car

FRANKLIN – Police in Franklin are looking for two men who they believe were trying to lure a 7-year-old boy into their car.

It happened Sunday afternoon in the 7500-7600 block of S. Mission Hills Drive in Franklin.

According to police, the boy was walking home when he was approached by two men. The men asked  the boy if he wanted candy. Neither of them got out of their car.

The boy ran home and told his mother -- and she called police. The suspects fled before police arrived to the area. 

The suspects are described by police as:

  • A black male, around 60-years-old, with grey hair. He was wearing sunglasses and a black t-shirt with unknown writing on it.
  • A black teenage male with short black hair. He was wearing a black hoodie, blue sunglasses and a red Fitbit.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a newer Chevy, black pick-up truck with a cover on it.
