FRANKLIN -- Franklin High School students have a lot to be proud of this morning.

Their cheerleading team placed sixth at the National High School Cheerleading Championship at Disney World.

TODAY'S TMJ4 caught up with team at Mitchell Airport Tuesday night as they returned home.

It's the first time the cheerleaders at Franklin High School made it to nationals.

"Putting in all the work everyday is something that's really important to us," Nikki Fitzgerald said. "Making sure we do everything we have to do, even if it's just the little things, critiques, everything like that, creates a great performance for the crowd and it makes us all proud of each other."

The Franklin High School cheerleaders qualified for nationals after taking first place at a competition at the Wisconsin Center.
