MILWAUKEE, WI - Four people were transported to local hospitals after a car accident on Milwaukee's north side Friday morning.

It happened around 10 a.m. at 20th and W. Fond du Lac. The three male victims—aged 34, 37 and 59—all suffered serious injuries.

“It’s crazy,” David Grover said.

“It was a couple people walking down the street, and next thing we know she crashed into the building,” he continued.

The crash was so severe, Grover said his only instinct was to help those involved.

“All I could do was just run to the scene,” Grover said.

“I helped [the driver] get out the car and things like that,” he continued.

Police confirmed a 35-year-old Milwaukee woman was speeding in a Dodge Dart when she tried to pass another car and make it across the intersection before the light turned red. The woman then lost control of her vehicle and hit three men who were on the sidewalk. The woman also hit a building.

Phillip Crayton, who lives in the area, said he witnessed the aftermath.

“It was four people laying on the ground,” Crayton said.

“They [were] bleeding and they [were] just laying there,” he continued.

The scene Crayton described is something he said he’s almost grown accustomed to. In fact, according to Crayton, reckless driving in his neighborhood is a major problem and something that has him very concerned.

“When I walk out here to the corner, I fear for my safety,” Crayton said.

“They don’t stop,” he continued.

Police say an investigation is still ongoing.
