MILWAUKEE — Former Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales is filing claims against the Fire and Police Commission after he was demoted from chief to captain earlier this month.
He says that amount is the result of breach of contract damages, denial of due process, and damage to his reputation.
Following his demotion, Mayor Tom Barrett held a press conference virtually where he said that Morales should have had the opportunity to speak and make his case before he was demoted.
Since the demotion, Morales has filed for retirement from the Milwaukee Police Department.
