Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke took to Twitter to double down on Houston Texans owner Bob McNair’s comments about NFL players kneeling in protest during the national anthem.
McNair said that the NFL "can't have the inmates running the prison" in regards to the protest, arguing the league should punish players for not standing.
Clarke tweeted, “Maybe Houston Texans owner bob McNair had a point about not letting the INMATES RUN THE PRISON. Looks like Roger Goodell and his NFL community outreach anti domestic violence campaign isn’t even working with their own players.”
