A Milwaukee convenience store will be shut down for allegedly selling synthetic drugs.

Food Town Mini Mart on North Hopkins will be shut down due to a court order, pending an upcoming trial, for reportedly selling synthetic marijuana products with names like "Scooby Snax" and "Diablo."

Investigators say the synthetic marijuana was kept hidden and customers had to use slang to purchase it.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett praised the work of the city attorney and law enforcement Friday.

"The message we have for others that are out there doing this is that we are out to get you,” Barrett said. “We do not want you to run our neighborhoods. We want our children to be safe, we want our young adults to be safe."

Food Town was one of two stores named in a lawsuit filed by Attorney General Brad Schimel for selling the synthetic pot.
