Fond Du Lac police investigating child enticement attempt

FOND DU LAC — Fond Du Lac police are currently investigating a child enticement attempt that happened Saturday.

According to police, a suspect stopped in an alley near East Johnson and East Follett streets where a 3-year-old was playing between 5:30 and 6 p.m. He opened his door, and was seen talking to the child.

A witness confronted the driver who then took off through the alley towards Follett St.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-to-late 50s. He is approximately 5 ft. 6 in. tall with stubbly white facial hair. In addition, the suspect had a birthmark on his face by his left eye.

The man was driving a dark blue Chevy Silverado extended cab. It had a light tint on the front and back windows with chrome strips along the bottom. The witness also saw a bumper sicker on the back of the truck that read, "Teachers Pet."
