One woman is dead after a house fire in Fond du Lac Sunday.
Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue responded to the home located near E. Division St. and Woods Pl. around 1:13 p.m.
Firefighters encountered heavy smoke on the first floor of the home and quickly found and extinguished the fire.
They rescued one female from the residence, attempted to resuscitate and transported her to SSM Health where she was pronounced dead after arrival.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
