MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office responded to a one-car vehicle crash that happened southbound in I-794 at Pennsylvania Avenue.
The vehicle flipped off the freeway and landed in the parking lot of EZ Storage beneath the freeway. The driver, and lone passenger, was a 19-year-old male who was ejected from the vehicle and was discovered unconscious, but breathing when deputies arrives.
He sustained head injuries and was transported by Flight for Life to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The southbound lanes were closed at 7:55 a.m., and traffic was diverted off the freeway at Layton Ave. All lanes were reopened at 11:00 a.m. The cause of this crash is still under investigation.
