MENOMONEE FALLS — Upon further investigation, the Menomonee Falls Police Department determined a report of a possible abduction was unfounded.

The department no longer is attempting to locate the suspect, it said in a news release Friday morning.
Officials initially said a female juvenile was approached by a white male at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday near Fond Du Lac Avenue and Parkview Drive.
The police department said parents should continue to have conversations with their children about personal protective measures, preplanned reactions to suspicious people and to always be aware of your surroundings.
