A Syrian family seeking refuge in Sheboygan has safely made it to Wisconsin.

The family arrived at Mitchell Airport Wednesday after they had been blocked two weeks ago by President Donald Trump’s travel ban.

But the door was opened Friday when an appeals court ruling temporarily halted the order.

The family asked not to be identified for the story.

“The future, a bright future for my kids,” the family said. “And that they should go to school and get a good education.”

A Sudanese family arrived on the same flight, who were also held back to the now-paused immigration ban.
