People around the Milwaukee area worked to clear sidewalks and driveways as snow continued to fall on Sunday morning.

“I’ve got to get up to Lambeau Field for the Packers game later,” said Ryan Vanderloop, who was shoveling the sidewalks and driveway at his family’s home in Shorewood. “So we had to get started early.”

“This is great. It’s light and fluffy snow,” Vanderloop said. “It’s easy to move. So this is a fun storm.”

While he shoveled, Vanderloop’s children Jacoby and Maryn played in the snow.

“It’s really good for sledding,” said 8-year old Jacoby Vanderloop.
Marquette University students Alana Adams and Evan Crosby also spent their Sunday morning sledding.

Crosby, who’s from New York, said he remembers sledding as a child.

“The first snowfall of the year always reminds me of home,” Crosby said. “I’m just excited to be out here having some fun.”

Monica Chinchilla and her daughter, Daniela, were taking in a Wisconsin winter for the first time.

Their family recently moved to Milwaukee from Florida.

“This is my first time seeing snow. I like it,” Daniela Chinchilla said.

“Snow is totally new for us,” Monica Chinchilla said. “So we’re really enjoying it.”
