MILWAUKEE - A $25,000 grant was awarded to the Running Rebels to help renovate their facility's basketball court.

The Pilot Home Court grant, from ESPN and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), helps non-profit, neighborhood-based organizations to improve the quality and accessibility of basketball courts.

Donsia Strong-Hill, executive director of Milwaukee LISC, said in a statement, “LISC is excited to bring ESPN resources to Milwaukee and to partner with Running Rebels, an organization changing the lives of young people every day.”

Running Rebels will renovate their facility's gym by installing a new court, including hoops, bleachers, and a scoreboard. The basketball court will be home to tournaments from Running Rebel teams as well as teams from the community.

LISC finds the organizations in need of court renovations in schools and parks. They oversee construction of these projects and help with the overall maintenance and programming.
