It turns out that people stranded in cars weren't the only ones who needed rescuing during the major flooding, as the Albany Fire Department rescued 23 cattle from the high waters.

Flooding swept through the Madison area of Wisconsin, setting a state record of rainfall in a 24-hour span.

Many people are now beginning to clean-up and salvage what is left of their property.

All of the cows in the photographs are safe and healthy, according to the fire department.
