A sheriff's deputy and another person were taken to a hospital after a multi-car crash Friday morning.
All eastbound lanes of I-94 at the Waukesha-Milwaukee county line were closed after an accident involving a squad car was reported just after 10 a.m.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office said the accident involving a squad car happened on I-94 and Elm Grove Road.
The sheriff's office said that the fully marked squad car was hit while it was in the median of westbound I-94. Several vehicles were involved.
The deputy and the driver of the striking vehicle were taken to the hospital for injuries they sustained in the crash.
One person was taken into custody by the sheriff's office for operating while impaired causing injury.
