Drug bust in the Town of Burlington early Saturday morning

Town of Burlington -- A Franklin man was arrested early Saturday morning after deputies found various drugs and paraphernalia in his car.

The man was pulled over just before 1:00 a.m. by deputies in the Town of Burlington for speeding on Highway 36 near Highway 142.

Deputies say they noticed a case of beer in the car and a K9 alerted there were narcotics in the vehicle.

According to authorities they found measurable amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and marijuana dabs.

Other items found included a digital scale, packaging material, filters, lighters, pipes, blank capsules, 5 vials of Narcan, cookers, needles, tourniquets and various other drugs.

The Franklin man was arrested and is being held at the Racine County Jail on several charges including:

  • Possession with intent to deliver cocaine
  • Possession with intent to deliver THC
  • Possession of narcotic drugs
  • Possession drug paraphernalia
  • Possession methamphetamine
  • Citation for speed and not having automobile insurance

Authorities say the man admitted everything in the car was his and that he uses the various drugs.
