The two drivers who were extricated from their car following a rollover crash on I-43 Monday are recovering in the hospital.
According to the Milwaukee Sheriff’s Office, both the 21-year-old driver and 26-year-old passenger—both females—are in stable condition at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital.
The crash happened Monday at about 2:20 p.m. on I-43 southbound near Hampton. Both were severely injured in the crash. The crash closed all southbound lanes for nearly four hours.
A second vehicle was also involved in the crash. The driver told deputies that the car drove past him in the shoulder at the top of the Silver Spring on-ramp.
Both drivers were not suspected of being drunk or impaired.
