WEST ALLIS — There may not be snow-covered roads quite yet, but it's winter in Wisconsin. In an effort to meet the demand for safe, outdoor gathering spaces this season, Kegel's Inn is transforming their normal beer garden into a winter-themed 'Brrr garden'.
The new space will have ten outdoor tables alongside two fire pits, patio heaters, and most importantly three yurts that can be reserved to dine inside.
The yurts are 11ft. high structures that will be lighted, decorated, ventilated, heated by oil radiators and sanitized between uses. The best part is that they can stand up to just about anything Wisconsin’s winter can throw at it, so guests will be able to dine comfortably without their winter parkas.
According to Kegel's Inn owner, Julian Kegel, "The outdoor beer garden was instrumental in keeping the restaurant afloat this summer. We need the Beer Garden to continue throughout the winter as the situation continues to limit our ability to gather indoors.
The yurts can be rented out for the whole night on weekdays & Saturdays and in 90-minute time slots each Friday.
Each can seat between 6 and 12 people and can be reserved online.
On top of that, every Friday in December, excluding Christmas, Tally HO! a 7-piece brass band, will perform around the fire pits.
