MILWAUKEE — Downtown Milwaukee Bid #21 has launched a new campaign called MKE It Local to help support locally-owned businesses.

The campaign calls attention to restaurants, bars, and shops in the central business district and more than 10 surrounding neighborhoods that may need some more support during the pandemic.

“We recognize that the pandemic has deeply affected the majority of our local businesses,” said Beth Weirick, CEO of Milwaukee Downtown, Business Improvement District #21. “This is what prompted myself and fellow BID leaders to seek out ways in which we could lend our support. Now is the time for us to rally around the businesses that make our neighborhoods vibrant and distinct.”

As a part of the campaign, Downtown Milwaukee Bid #21 created a directory of all the business in the Milwaukee area that you can support. That directory can be found here.

There will also be $10,000 in gift cards handed out from the various businesses.
