A Greenfield business is now receiving death threats after a disgruntled customer posted a complaint online.

Dog owner Laura Bantle says she took her yellow Labrador Marlee to Accommodating Petz for boarding for a few hours Saturday, and when she returned she said the dog was injured.

"They're supposed to be providing care for my dog and obviously my dog wasn't being watched. Whether somebody did this to her intentionally or even accidentally it happened while she was in their care," said Bantle

Bantle took her dog to the veterinarian immediately after picking her up. According to Bantle, the vet said it was possible Marlee was strangled. They told TODAY'S TMJ4 that it was a possibility but they didn't believe the dog was intentionally injured.

"I am telling you right now it didn't happen.  There's no way shape or form that, that happened here. My team is filled with people whose life is built around these animals, the thought of that breaks their heart said Accommodating Petz," said owner Lin Lutz.

A Facebook post Bantle posted about the incident has been shared more than 4,000 times. Because of the exposure, Lutz says she has lost 50-percent of her reservations. Her team has also received death threats.  "People telling us that we strangled a dog... and people telling us that they are going to hurt my team like we hurt this dog," said Lutz.

Both sides have hired attorneys. Lutz says she plans to go after Bantle for defamation and slander for her Facebook post.
