Zippia researched what the most popular side dishes are in each state on Thanksgiving. Wisconsin's is no surprise.
The study found that Wisconsinites really love their mashed potatoes during their Thanksgiving dinner, just like Minnesota and Illinois residents.
In fact, mashed potatoes are the most popular dish in 10 states. Behind mashed potatoes is mac-and-cheese, which is the favorite in seven states.
"47 states want their sides carby, cheesy, potato-y, and delicious. Only 3 are reaching for veggies more," the study says.
