Some work days really stink.
On Tuesday, the Waunakee Fire Department had one of those days.
The department reported on Facebook that they had to rescue two cows that had gotten stuck in a manure pit.
“This makes cleaning up after a structure fire seems like child’s play,” the department wrote on Facebook.
Members of the recuse team needed gas masks for the job. They had to be hosed down after the mission.
But the two cows were successfully rescued. A job well done by the department!
