Die-hard Packers fans help clear out Lambeau

Posted
GREEN BAY -- Die-hard Packers fans braved the cold to help clear out the snow from Lambeau Field on Thursday.

About 40 inches of snow needed to be removed to get ready for Sunday's big game against the Vikings.

Packers fans TODAY'S TMJ4 spoke with said it's worth it to be inside Lambeau.

"I've been coming here ever since I was a kid," Alejandro Cantu said.

Cantu said he plans to carry on the tradition.

"I am going to bring my kids here when they're old enough," he said.

Like Cantu, many of the volunteers have helped shovel the stands at Lambeau more than once. For others, it's the only time they've been inside the home of their beloved team.

"I've never been to a Packers game but hopefully by next year I plan on it," Cory Tamow-Sader said.

Once the shoveling is done, crews will put salt in the stands throughout the stadium.
