DELAFIELD -- A 57-year-old Delafield man was killed after he was hit by a car while riding his bike Thursday evening in the Town of Delafield.
It happened just after 5 p.m. near the intersection of Golf and Maple Roads -- which is located next to Interstate 94.
According to police, the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on Golf Road when the car -- which was traveling in the same direction -- hit him.
The bicyclist was transported to Aurora Summit Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Police say the driver of the car was a 71-year-old Waukesha man.
Wisconsin State Patrol will be assisting with accident reconstruction and the accident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office.
