Good news for procrastinators. You have a little more time to file your tax return this year.
Traditionally the deadline is April 15th, but because it lands on the weekend, the filing deadline would Monday.
This year, however, Monday the 17th is Emancipation Day, a federal holiday.
Because of this, tax returns aren’t due to be filed until Tuesday the 18th.
