A visit by the leader of the free world can do wonders for business. Just ask the folks over at Milwaukee’s Engine Company No. 3 restaurant.

The restaurant, located at 217 W National Ave. in Walker's Point, saw a huge increase in business Friday, the day after President Barack Obama stopped by for lunch during his Milwaukee visit.

The employees said they only had 30 minutes notice that Obama was coming.

"I did freak out a little bit. They were very nice. They calmed me down and explained we need to secure the area,” employee Kristen Schulrud said.

Obama wanted to make it a point to support a local business.

"He ordered the Patacon Con Huevo and he ordered the 5 year aged cheddar omelet,” chef and owner Peter Sandroni said.

"It's always an honor to have the President of the United States. I mean how do you turn that down?"

The president’s order has become the hottest item on the menu.

"We were choosing between two different places and thought if it's good enough for the president it's good enough for us too,” customer Lindsey Townsley said.
