Hamilton High School alum Kevon Looney was honored at an event Thursday to retired his high school number, when Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and other Golden State Warriors crashed the party.
Looney’s #5 was retired and hung in the rafters. The students got an even bigger surprise when the rest of the Golden State Warriors walked in.
“They set aside time for us and that made me feel special that they set aside time out of their day to come see us that just said a lot,” said sophomore Marchele Bowden.
Looney is holding a fundraiser Thursday night at Up Down on Brady Street to benefit the family of Sandra Parks. Parks was killed in her home by a stray bullet last month.
