A Milwaukee County supervisor says that the county's parks director is resigning from his post.
Supervisor Deanna Alexander, who represents the 18th district, says that Dargle has decided to leave his job after 4-and-a-half years.
I regret to hear of the resignation of @CountyParks Director John Dargle, who oversaw the launch of our successful beer gardens and worked dilligently to improve trails and parkways. He put up with a lot and delivered a lot. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

As Alexander explains, Dargle helped see the rise of the beer gardens program in Milwaukee County Parks, among numerous other accomplishments.
The parks system received top 10 rankings for best urban and freshwater beach (Bradford Beach) and numerous awards for its trail systems.
Guy Smith, chief of operations for Milwaukee County Parks, will serve as interim director until a permanent replacement is selected.
