MILWAUKEE -- An off-duty corrections officer is accused of shooting a woman in the head after an argument in a Milwaukee nightclub.

The victim is now clinging to life after she was shot while sitting in her car.

The accused shooter, 22-year-old Lillie Jones, is charged with use of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.

The state corrections officer is on administrative leave.

Jones works for Taycheedah Correctional Institution. Jones was hired by the Department of Corrections in July.

Court records said Jones got into an argument with the victim Sunday, inside the Onyx Night Club.

Police said the incident ended outside after the suspect shot the victim in the head in her car.

As of Wednesday, the victim was in critical condition.
