Mukwonago police are investigating a serious head-on collision. It happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday night near Highway I on Sandy Beach Road.

Police have yet to provide any information on the accident, however an emergency responder on the scene confirmed the coroner responded shortly after the wreck.

Patricia Herman, a loved one of one of the victim’s, says a truck and sedan collided head-on. Herman’s boyfriend was a passenger in the truck. Two other relatives were in the vehicle as well. Herman says all three were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

She was told the other vehicle driving toward them was missing a headlight before they collided.

"It’s just a mess there’s engine parts from the truck laying halfway down the road,” said Herman. “The whole front end of the truck is demolished. I couldn’t really tell the car, but the truck is trashed.”

A Mukwonago police officer said a supervisor will not be able to provide details on the accident until Monday morning.
