MILWAUKEE — Some people in and around Milwaukee may be looking for a place to cool down and get out of the sun this weekend.

The heat index could approach 100 Sunday as hot weather once again moves in for the weekend.

Thankfully, there's a cooling center open in Milwaukee Sunday that offers water and cooler temperatures, which will help prevent heatstroke and other heat-related injuries.

The site is located at Hillside Terrace Family Resource Center, 1452 N. 7th St. They will be open at 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday. The staff is taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Those outside of Milwaukee can call 211 to be connected to resources in their community.
