After much consternation, a Chick-fil-A will open in March in Oak Creek's Drexel Town Square near Drexel and Howell Avenues, according to MyCommunityNow.com.
Initially, planning commissioners turned down a recommendation to allow the franchise location. OakCreekNow reported nearly a year ago that a Chick-fil-A would not meet what those commissioners were hoping for - an "upscale" kind of scene within that area.
There were also concerns of traffic issues, particularly for a drive through restaurant that has been immensely popular in the two locations they have in Southeastern Wisconsin.
